Winter Sweetness
This little house is sugar.
Its roof with snow is piled,
And from its tiny window
Peeps a maple-sugar child.
~ Langston Hughes
This poem makes me think of snow on a bright, sunny day when it sparkles like diamonds... or sugar. Houses look like gingerbread, and I can just imagine a maple-sugar child waving behind a window. :)
