i thank You God for most this amazing
day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes

I am a big fan of poetry by e.e. cummings, and this is one of my very favorite poems.  Whenever I am outside, enjoying nature -- especially if it's a beautiful day -- I think of this poem.  It makes me want to jump and laugh and sing.  Like cummings, I am moved to praise God for the amazing, awe-inspiring world around me.  My heart fills with gratitude and happiness till it feels like it will burst!  What poems make you happy?
