Resplendent

A few months ago when I asked my Facebook friends to list some of their favorite words, one of them said resplendent [ri-splen-duh nt].  I like it, too.  Resplendent is an adjective meaning "shining brilliantly; gleaming; splendid".  For example:

Sparkling snow covered the hills and fields,
resplendent in the sunshine.

I like to think of the new year as a
blank, resplendent sheet of paper
stretching out before us, just waiting
for time and our lives to write upon it.

Scrooge became a good man, resplendent with virtue.

How would you use the word resplendent?
