Magnanimous

This week's word is magnanimous [mag-nan-uh-muhs], an adjective meaning "generous; noble".  Its synonyms include: benevolent, bountiful, and charitable.  I thought it was a fitting word for the holiday season.  Here are a few example sentences:

The couple's magnanimous donation provided
enough food and clothing for ten families.

Known as a magnanimous man throughout his life,
he dedicated his life to serving others.

Thank you for the gift -- it was so
magnanimous of you!

How would you use the word magnanimous?
